Maternity leave came and went – and I ended up accepting a new role as CMO at Lightneer in the mean time. While working, the subject matter at hand for the thesis has been evolving, moving around, and then changing. One option was to limit the subject to a more specific topic – such as the paper we already did initially few years back on looking at Papers, Please from the perspective of banality of evil and how Sicart sees evil in games research. There is also the easy way – and also a very interesting one – to look at designing casual learning games, as that’s something I’m working on on daily basis. I’ll let this brew for a bit and see the topic of serious games would be my key topic, after all.
